The Nashville West Shopping Center

Real Estate

Led by principals Mark McDonald and Bill Oldacre, Oldacre McDonald is a full-service commercial real estate development firm that has completed more than 425 projects in 25 states since 1991. Specializing in shopping centers, Oldacre McDonald's signature developments include The Highlands (Bristol, Virginia) and Nashville West (Nashville, Tennessee).

A mixed-use development project situated on nearly 100 acres, Nashville West encompasses 750,000 square feet of retail space and is anchored by national chains such as Dick's Sporting Goods, Costco, Marshall's, Old Navy, and Best Buy. Cost Plus World Market also opened up its first store in the Nashville market at Nashville West.

Construction on the first of two phases of the shopping center began in November 2005. At the time, it was the largest project undertaken by Oldacre McDonald. This distinction now belongs to Century Farms, a 300-acre development zoned for more than 30 million square feet of restaurant, office, and retail space, which is already the site of a six-story, 240,000-square-foot Community Health Systems office.

Nashville West, which is located near the Charlotte Park and Hillwood neighborhoods along Interstate 40, is situated in a dense urban area. More than 260,000 residents live within a 15-minute drive of the shopping center.
